Anna and Bob introduce you to An Caladh -- in Gaelic, the resting
place on the shore -- a traditional whitewashed house at the centre
of the village of Plockton, known to many over the world for its
scenic beauty and relaxed Highland ambience.
Our house, once a two-storied fisherman's cottage, has been extended
and refurbished to provide comfortable and friendly accommodation,
with central heating and television in all our rooms, some of which
are en-suite. The views across the bay to the Crags and Duncraig
Castle are superb.
An Caladh is available for a New Year let. The house sleeps up to eight. Please contact us.
Guests are welcome to use our front garden, which opens on to the
beach. There is an adjacent launching slip for small dinghies.
We have a wireless broadband internet connection. You will be able
to access the web and receive and send e-mail.
We are open all year, for short or long stays, and have some conversational German and French. We also speak Gaelic, the language of the Highlands, so why not try out some phrases with us, such as Ceud Mille Faílte (a hundred thousand welcomes).
If you explore this site, you'll find pictures of our rooms with details of our rates, how to book with us, and full information on Plockton and how to spend your time here.
